Mission
| |
ACT II Complex is a Transitional Housing Complex
designed to offer assistance and support to men and women desiring to
recover from their addiction. ACT II
provides individuals the opportunity to experience recovery from
addiction and address their physical, mental and spiritual needs.
ACT II Complex is a transitional housing complex whose purpose is to
assist recovering men and women in their attempt to remain clean and
sober.
In the attempt to regain control of their lives, ACT II recognizes the need
for the recovering community to address issues concerning their spiritual,
mental and physical well-being.
ACT II Complex will provide guidance and help in getting the individual
employed and self-supporting which provides a sense of purpose and self-esteem.
ACT II offers individuals the opportunity to gain the necessary life skills they
require to become productive, tax-paying members of society.
ACT II recognizes the need to provide primary, intermediate and comprehensive
education to substance abusers and/or their families or interested persons.
Substance Abuse education classes are an integral part of our Holistic approach
to healing.
|
|
ACT II Counseling Service
strives to provide accurate and objective evaluation of our clients'
substance abuse use, to offer education to those persons not evidencing
problem use or addiction, and to provide cost-effective treatments to
those clients experiencing problem use or addiction. The whole
person (physical, emotional and spiritual) will be addressed.
ACT II Counseling was founded and is
operated in the belief that treatment for the chemically-dependent is
best offered in an atmosphere of care and understanding, coupled with
the recognition of the serious consequences of abuse. We believe
that chemical dependency is a tractable illness characterized by
compulsion, loss of control, with the tendency to relapse unless support
systems are fully utilized. We understand that each individual is
ultimately responsible for his or her own actions. Recovery is
determined by the client's efforts, honesty and willingness.
